Generators and backup power
Runtime, fuel and power for every generator, without a site visit.
Who buys it: telecom tower operators, hospitals, factories, data rooms, housing societies and generator rental companies.
A generator gets checked when someone visits. Between visits, fuel goes missing, hours go unrecorded, and a site can run dry before anyone knows.
What your customer watches
Four readings that tell the whole story
- Runtime
- Engine hours from the run signal, per site and per day, ready to bill or to plan service.
- Fuel in litres
- A calibration table turns the probe reading into litres for that exact tank. Fills and drains are detected for you.
- Mains and battery
- Voltage on mains and battery shows when the site switched over and how the battery is holding.
- Location
- For rental and mobile sets, where each one is and when it was moved.
Alerts
Ready-made rules for this job
Switch them on per unit, test them on last week's data first, and send each one to the person who handles it.
- Fuel theft
- A drain is confirmed with the confidence you set.
- Low fuel
- The level falls to the point where a refill must be sent.
- Fuel refill
- A delivery is confirmed, with the litres added.
- Power disconnected
- The site loses external power.
- External voltage out of range
- Mains or battery voltage leaves the safe band.
- Digital input on longer than
- The generator has run longer than it should in one go.
- Engine hours reached
- Service is due by hours run.
- Offline for
- The site has stopped reporting.
Reports they get
- Runtime per site, per day
- Fuel used, filled and drained
- Every fill and drain with time and litres
- Services due and done
Scheduled to arrive each morning, or pinned to the customer's dashboard.
What you need on site
A tracker or controller from any supported family, with an analog input for the fuel probe and a digital input for the run signal.
Sensors are set up once and copied to every device of the same model.
How you can sell it
Three packages, one installation
Runtime
Hours run per site for billing and service planning.
Fuel control
Litres in the tank, confirmed deliveries and theft alerts.
Site uptime
Mains, battery and offline alerts that escalate until someone responds.
Questions
Generators and backup power: common questions
How does generator fuel monitoring work?
A fuel probe in the tank reports its level. A calibration table converts it to litres for that tank shape, and Zarokaa detects fills and drains automatically.
Can I bill generator runtime?
Yes. Runtime comes from the generator’s run signal and is reported per site and per day.
Will I know when mains power fails?
Yes. Power disconnected and External voltage out of range alert as soon as the site loses mains or the battery drops.
